Cu Sânziana şi Pepelea redescoperim copilăria teatrului românesc, acea naivitate hazlie, jucăuşă, care grăieşte însă multe adevăruri despre firea românească valabile şi astăzi; un text foarte teatral, cu potenţialităţi scenice, de joc… „E jucăuş, da, afirmă regizorul, era şi vremea când se descopereau, cel puţin la noi, efectele scenice, trapa, lumina electrică, schimbatul rapid al decorurilor, coborârea din plafon… şi într-adevăr, ceea ce se vede la Alecsandri, şi o făcea mai mult sau mai puţin calculat, era cunoaşterea folclorului. Iar noi am mers mult pe această cale a folclorului, şi nu la modul superficial, ci mai aprofundat: am ajuns la iele, la vrăjitoare, la blesteme, la legătura cu religia creştină, cu ortodoxismul. Ţinta spectacolului este însă în primul rând să bine-dispună“. Multe personaje au fost reinventate, regândite, aşa cum spune Alexandru Dabija „după mintea noastră de acum“. „Alecsandri nu a introdus popa ca personaj, noi am folosit până şi rugăciunile de ploaie. Ne jucăm. Din punctul acesta de vedere e foarte bine, pentru că textul este extrem de liber. De-aicea vine poate dimensiunea lui shakespeariană, pentru că este foarte liber în schema pe care o propune. Propune o schemă pe care poţi face multe lucruri. Şi râzi, şi e mult folclor şi multă Moldovă prezentă, chiar şi tipul de haz… care trece de la un comic grosolan la o melancolie foarte prezentă.“ Libertatea incredibilă pe care o lasă piesa se poate vedea şi la nivelul muzicii, creată, reinventată la rândul ei, toate părţile muzicale purtând semnătura Adei Milea. „Textul este un muzical, o «feerie naţională» muzicală, textul original este plin de cântecele, iar profitând de acest lucru ne-am pus şi noi pe cântecele dar… pe ale noastre sau, mai bine zis pe ale Adei Milea... ele ilustrează personaje, situaţii, anumite momente de vârf… Muzica exprimă de obicei mult mai bine decât textul, dacă e şi bună, şi nimerită, iar teatrul este în general prea inundat de cuvinte…“

Following its premieres and enthusiastic audience reception at Théâtre Scala in Paris (May 2024) and in Iași (November 2024), the concert-performance Bach chez Cioran, une tragédie angélique embarks on an exclusive tour across Romania in 2025. This evocative performance brings together Romanian-born pianist Mara Dobresco and French actor and director Volodia Serre in a unique artistic experience blending the music of J. S. Bach with excerpts from the writings of Romanian philosopher Emil Cioran. The project marks the latest Parisian artistic collaboration for Mara Dobresco, following her concert-reading on Francis Poulenc, and the show Il faut donc que vous fassiez un rêve (You Must Therefore Dream), based on texts by Eugène Ionesco and poems by Marin Sorescu, also staged with director Volodia Serre at Théâtre Lucernaire in Paris, and later performed at the Opera of Limoges and the Vesoul Theatre. With Bach chez Cioran, une tragédie angélique, Mara and Volodia invite audiences on a journey suspended in an undefined time, aiming to make us, even for a moment, “contemporaries of angels.” The Romanian philosopher wrote extensively about music, and especially about Bach, whose works gradually became his own personal “religion.”

Muzeul Național de Istorie a Transilvaniei (MNIT) împreună cu Ministerul Finanțelor, Ministerul Culturii și Primăria Șimleu Silvaniei invită publicul larg la deschiderea oficială a expoziției temporare: „Războinici uitați și podoabe eterne: Barbarii migratori în timpul crizei Imperiului Roman (sec.
